RYAN KELLY IN THE CLUTCH?!
The Portland Trail Blazers aren’t projected to do much this upcoming season considering they are going through a rebuild and lost LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum, Robin Lopez and Wesley Matthews. The Los Angeles Lakers are pretty much on the same wave, except they didn’t lose many players, they just have a young core. So tonight’s preseason match was a preview for the bottom of the Western Conference this upcoming season.
The first three quarters were probably hard to get through, but the last 20 seconds weren’t. The Trail Blazers were trying hard not to lose and they made it happen with a quick two and a good steal that turned into a three point prayer by Pat Connaughton that went in.
Then with the score tied at 102, Ryan Kelly came up the unlikely hero when he got the in-bound with 4.8 second left, faked the defense and went straight to the hole for the slam dunk over Noah Vonleh.
And that’s all she wrote folks. The Lakers improve to 3-4 in the preseason, while the Trail Blazers drop to 3-3. If any of that means anything anyway.
