During a press conference this morning, FIFA have come to the decision that Luis Suarez will be banned from football for four months, along with a nine-month ban from Uruguay. Earlier this week during Uruguay’s 1-0 win against Italy, Luis Suarez put himself under the spotlight after biting Chiellini’s shoulder towards the end of the game. This was the third incident of biting for the South-American player, following an incident with Bakkal at Ajax in 2010 and further controversy with Ivanovic in 2013 as a Liverpool player. The ban follows a similar action to last year’s offence, where, if he stays in the English Premier League, will be out for the beginning of the season.
