After an appeal from Luis Suarez, it’s been announced that his four-month ban has been upheld by the Court of Arbitration, after biting Giorgio Chiellini in the World Cup down in Brazil. Despite the decision, the Uruguay player will be given permission to train with the Barcelona squad up until he is allowed to play again on October 25th. Since the incident occurred, the 27-year old has made the move to Spain as part of a £75m deal with Liverpool, with the ban undoubtedly playing a role in the transfer. As well as club matches, the ban for nine international games still stands, which is the longest FIFA have given in World Cup history.
