Magic compares Big Ben to King James
If you’ve had time to take a break from watching football over the last two months and check out some College Hoops, then the name Ben Simmons should be familiar.
The 19-year-old LSU forward is making his case for becoming the upcoming overall first pick in the 2016 NBA Draft this summer – with jaw-dropping numbers every night against teams.
Since averaging 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists per game, this has caught the attention of all NBA owners and GMs awaiting June. During their blowout victory over John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats Tuesday night, Magic Johnson was on social media praising the skillset and on-court IQ Simmons has, saying Ben the best all-around player he’s seen since LeBron James.
While this may be a reach to some, the LSU stand-out is in the same position the King is in and that’s to have an immediate impact for any franchise that drafts him – hopefully not the Philadelphia 76ers. Take a look at highlights from one of his recent games below.
