In easily one of the biggest midweek games of the season, Man City managed to push past a struggling Man Utd to win 3-0 away from home at Old Trafford. In just the first minute of the game, Dzeko managed to score from close range after getting on the end of a shot from Nasri that struck against the post. In a game of end-to-end action, Dzeko was able to grab his second during the 56th minute, as he connected once again with Nasri from a smart corner and converted the ball into the net. In the remaining stages of the 90 minutes, Kompany was almost shown a red after already being booked, and shortly after Toure drilled a low shot past De Gea to make it 3-0.
Man City now move up to second in the league with two games in hand of Chelsea, while Man Utd remain in seventh.
