Manny Pacquiao Ends Retirement for Upcoming HBO PPV Fight

Pacquiao-Bradley IV is not happening!

After dominating Timothy Bradley for their third fight last April, Manny Pacquiao is ending his short-lived retirement to return to the ring this fall with Top Rank Promotions. At the moment, Bob Arum has plans for the Filipino sensation to fight an unnamed fighter either this October 29th of November 5th on one of their Las Vegas cards with HBO PPV.

Adrien Broner, who was lobbying for the fight, was denied the requesting by Arum – who stated his asking price was too high for the bout. The 37-year-old, who currently serves as Senator of the Philippines, will have to work around his political obligations for the upcoming fall fight.

It’s unlikely that Floyd Mayweather comes out of retirement for a fall fight, who normally waits for spring to have big fights, so part two of that series is unlikely.

However, the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Keith Thurman and most likely Terence Crawford, who needs to defeat Viktor Postol in two weeks, are among the names floating. We’ll keep you updated if Pacman and Arum decide on a top fighter in the coming weeks.
