Marcus Mariota Catches Trick Play Touchdown

Marcus grab the wheel

Marcus Mariota has thrown for 19 touchdowns in his rookie season, but today he was on the opposite end of that formula against the New York Jets.

With the game already in the bag for New York, Mike Mularkey had to resort to a trick play to get the Tennessee Titans on the scoreboard and it paid off. Mariota went in motion and lined up on the outside against Calvin Pryor and his speed surprised the defensive back so much that he stumbled and Marcus left him in the dust. It was more than an easy catch for the Titans QB, who just had to catch it and walk it in. Pryor was really shook, though. Just look at how he fell.

Mariota ended the game with throwing 21/39 for 274 yards, but had no touchdowns (besides this one) and one interception on the loss.
