Marcus Mariota Scrambles His Way To An 82-Yard Touchdown

The rookie showing his moves!

The speed of Marcus Mariota and his scrambling prowess has never been questioned, but we’ve only seen flashes of it this season in his first year with the Tennessee Titans. He definitely showed off that and plenty more today in a shootout against the Jacksonville Jaguars, playing one of the best games of his season.

On this play in the middle of the 4th quarter while trailing 28-32, Marcus turns what looks like a sack after the pocket collapsed, into a ridiculous play that went for 82 yards and a touchdown. Once he made his way out, he turned on the jets and took it all the way to the house, breaking tackles and getting a few key blocks that helped along the way. This marks the third longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback, trailing Colin Kaepernick’s 90 yard run and Terrelle Pryor’s 93-yarder back in 2013.

Mariota was slinging the TD’s today, throwing three on 20/29 and 268 yards. He also rushed for 112 yards, with this being his biggest run of the day (obviously).
