The rookie is shining!
With the game damn near in the bag, Kansas City Chiefs rookie Marcus Peters added insult to injury to the Baltimore Ravens and putting the nail in the coffin on the game.
The 18th pick in the NFL draft has been lighting it up on defense for the Chiefs, becoming a pivotal part of the team on that side of the ball and it proved in this pick 6 by Jimmy Claussen. With less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Peters read the play perfect, stepping in front of the receiver (after he slipped) and went untouched to the end zone. This marks his sixth interception of the season, giving him the most INT’s by a rookie in Kansas City history.
The Chiefs are currently on fire heading into the AFC Wild Card, looking like a sure fire pick to make into the playoffs next to the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets.
