Before free agency, LaMarcus Aldridge was the talk of the NBA, considering many teams were courting his services. As of now, that storyline has faded into obscurity thanks to the DeAndre Jordan debacle in Dallas, as he had a change of heart at the last minute and decided to stay in Los Angeles and resign with the Clippers.
Through all the ESPN reports, Mark Cuban has remained silent besides his beef with Chris Broussard on Twitter, but now he’s setting the record straight as to what happened the night everything started unfolding and reports started surfacing about the status of Jordan.
According to Cuban, he flew down to Houston to meet with DeAndre and walked up to his front door, but there was no answer. Jordan texted him and said he was on a date. After leaving, the two were left with the notion they were going to speak again, but as most know at this point, the contact stopped between the Mavs and Jordan and the Clippers held him hostage in his home until he signed the 4-year max deal.
