Mark Jackson Agrees To Multiyear Deal With ESPN

Mark Jackson, Mike Breen, and Jeff Van Gundy - 2008
Jackson Returns To Join ESPN Network for Eastern Conference Finals.

Last week, Mark Jackson was fired from the Golden State Warriors and many job offerings for various coaches were available. The sexiest destinations were the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks. While both teams have been undecided where to look for in coaching now that Steve Kerr agreed to terms with Golden State a few days ago, Mark will be reuniting with fellow former coach Jeff Van Gundy (also being targeted in the free agency coaching search) and play-by-play commentator Mike Breen. He’s also set to work today’s game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals match-up between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers.

Previously, Mark was mentioned as a candidate for Phil Jackson’s New York Knicks, but debunked those rumors on Saturday afternoon with returning to ESPN. Knickstape coaching search will now continue possibly until the NBA Draft. More on the story in the jump.
