THE ROCKETS FINISHED OR ARE THEY DONE?
Today’s game between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors was a hard fought battle, especially in the second half after Steph Curry went down with a knee sprain (he slipped on the court and didn’t return to the game after hobbling to the locker room at halftime).
With the Rockets having the lead, the Warriors managed to pull off an incredible run thanks to Draymond Green, who hit two 3-pointers in a row, as well as a transition slam dunk to give them a nine point lead in the third quarter. Then Klay Thompson hit a few triples of his own following that run. Andre Iguoadala also stepped up to the plate, as the team as a whole won the game for Steph and the Warriors locked up a 3-1 series lead.
The best part of it all is Mark Jackson referenced Birdman‘s interview on The Breakfast Club, where he said “put some respeck on my name” when addressing DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee. His appearance on the show turned into a meme for the entire weekend, but for Jackson to drop that jewels on national TV was GOAT.
“When you say the Warriors, put some respeck on their name.”
If you missed the injury, you can take a look at Curry’s slip below. He will have an MRI tomorrow to find out how bad the knee injury is and how much time he will miss in the playoffs.
