It was not such an enjoyable holiday weekend for Maurice Jones-Drew, as today the Jacksonville police department announced that they have filed battery charges against Jones-Drew. Reports say that a security guard was trying to assist a woman when Jones-Drew hit him in the face. The NFL and Jacksonville Jaguars are both aware of the situation and we will update when more details are released.
*UPDATE* St. Augustine Florida police are not charging Jones-Drew with misdemeanor battery and is cooperating with police for an investigation of the incident.
