Metta World Peace Rejoins Kobe Bryant in One-Year Los Angeles Lakers Deal

Ron Artest Returns home to la-la land!

After sitting out the entire 2015 season, Metta World Peace seems to have landed himself an NBA contract. With training camp set to begin in just a matter of days, the Los Angeles Lakers have looked to a past star to rejoin Kobe Bryant in his final years with the franchise. Ron Artest, has now agreed to a one-year contract with the purple and gold, which happens to be non-guaranteed.

Depending on training camp and pre-season play, we’re sure World Peace has maintained his health over the last 12 months, following his stint with the New York Knicks in 2014. Throughout this original four seasons with the Lakers, he helped lead the team to their last championship, which was in 2010 against the Boston Celtics. While the team looks to make their return to the playoffs next spring, we know the Black Mamba is motivated to see his friend back at Staples Center.
