Welcome Michelle Beadle to NBA Countdown!
With the 2017 NBA regular season set to begin next month, ESPN has shared some major news regarding a network shake up. Sage Steele, Michelle Beadle and Doris Burke will all have new roles beginning this October – as Steele will now serve as host on Sports Center for weeknights, Burke transitioning her in-studio role from NBA to becoming a full-time sideline reporter, as well as an analysist for covering both men’s and women’s college basketball.
However, the big news of the day is that Ms. Beadle will now become the regular weeknight host for ESPN’s NBA Countdown, which should create some pre-game and half-time hilarity with the seriousness that plagues the network. Sports Nation loves, don’t worry, Michelle will still host the afternoon variety show on ESPN 2 every week day – before she sits at the desk with the new tandem of Jalen Rose and Chauncey Billups. Her first day of the gig is this November 2nd.
