Iron Mike sits down with MAXIM Magazine

Last week, it was revealed that Mike Tyson would be bringing his boxing gloves to mixed martial arts octagon, as a featured character in th upcoming video game, EA SPORTS UFC 2. The legendary boxer sat down with Maxim Magazine to discuss his contributions to the game, as well as the recent defeat of his comrade Wladimir Klitschko to Tyson Fury. However, the interview caught our eye when he gave his opinion on Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather having public issues. While the two will never likely face-off, due to different fighting backgrounds, Iron Mike broke down how both athletes would match up against each other – surprisingly giving the edge to Conor.

Speaking of Conor McGregor, he’s been calling out Floyd Mayweather again. People love to talk about UFC fighters versus boxers. Who do you think wins that fight?

It’s different rules. But this is were it gets interesting: styles don’t win fights, morale wins fights. Mayweather is the type of fighter that avoids punishment. I don’t think Floyd would like Conor grabbing him. The boxing gloves they have make them more vulnerable than anything. And Floyd wouldn’t be able to fight with them gloves.
