Monday Night Footall: Packers/Seahawks Preview

Green Bay at Seattle
Time: 8:30 PM (ET) | Tonight
Network: ESPN

The final game of week 3 tonight features a Monday Night Football match-up between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams had week one losses but evened out their records last week as Green Bay defeated Chicago 10 days ago demolishing Jay Cutler and the Bears; while Seattle pulled an upset against the Cowboys in Dallas in a blowout win. Both teams are desperately seeking to get over the .500 hump as in my opinion this game is more meaningful to Seattle as they have an extremely rough 5 game stretch against St. Louis, Carolina, New England, San Francisco and Detroit.

In a division, in which they share with the Cardinals, 49ers and Rams; every game is virtually a must win for this team if they want to make post season with NFC powerhouses in the same division. Packers start wide-out, Greg Jennings is questionable for tonight’s game but all indications are pointing to him playing in tonight’s showdown. The Packers have won 10 of their last 11 road games while the Seahawks have been 17-8 in MNF appearances with one of the league’s best home records and best crowd.

Green Bay’s a high favorite tonight including my pick but it would not shock me if Seattle somehow pulled through with this victory. With rookie QB Russell Wilson playing efficient along with Marshawn Lynch in the prime of the career, the Packers should not take this one lightly. I expect this game to come down to Seahawks ability to stop Aaron Rodgers on the defensive end which they showed last week against Tony Romo. This one could come down to the wire as we could be in store for our best MNF game of the year thus far.
