Tonight for the final game of week 8 NFL Football play, we’re shown arguably the biggest game of the week in an NFC rivalry game with the Frisco 49ers (5-2) traveling to DMX’s hometown of Arizona to play the Cardinals.
The Cardinals have been on an extremely bad decline, losing 3 straight to the Rams, Bills and the Vikings after starting the year 4-0. Both teams’ primary focus is defense, as Arizona will have to be big tonight in stopping the 49ers offense (lack thereof) if they want a shot at winning the game. Why am I saying this? Simple, Kevin Kolb is expected to miss several weeks, with John Skelton filling in the void. The 49ers remain vulnerable from a good pass rush, just like how the Giants ripped Alex Smith to shreds in a 26-3 blowout loss two weeks ago.
A 49ers victory tonight would ensure them supremacy in the West for the next two weeks at least with their bye week scheduled for this weekend before their matchup against St. Louis. Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter, who exposed the Seahawks defense last week, will most likely have another big game tonight against the Cardinals, who are struggling with injuries from Calais Campbell, O’Brien Schofield, Paris Lenon and Kerry Rhodes.
Expect this one to be close, with Alex Smith having a pretty decent game in a 10 point victory.
