Finally we get some good action on Monday Night Football this week, with the Chicago Bears traveling to Green Bay to take on the Packers. This is not only a historic and hated rivalry, but it also has serious division and playoff ramifications. Did we mention they don’t like each other? The Bears will be at quite the disadvantage tonight, because QB Jay Cutler is still sidelined with an injury, though backup Josh McCown played really well in the game he came into as replacement. For the Bears, they need to establish a good running game with Matt Forte and let the game come to Josh.
For the Packers, the gameplan is like it always is: let Aaron Rodgers do his thing. The QB is missing some targets in his arsenal, but when you’re as good as he is, you make due with what you have and still put up MVP-like numbers. And Jordy Nelson as a target, isn’t such a bad look. Rodgers might have a field day tonight, since the Bears defense is not exactly playing up to their long-storied reputation of dominance.
Look for a very close contest tonight with there being so much on the line.
UPDATE: Bears defeat Packers 27-20.
