UPDATE: Seahawks Win 12-7
The heavy favorite heading into this this game is the Seattle Seahawks, as we’re expecting a blowout. In their last meeting, Cam Newton had season lows in all categories due the Seahawks defense, which we’re expecting the same result to happen today. Cam Newton has limited help (again), as he’ll be the only chance his Panthers have winning this game.
The Seattle Seahawks are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl next year, and start this year’s power rankings as the highest seed. Russell Wilson had a magical season last year in his rookie year, passing for 3,000 yards and obtaining a 100.0 QB rating. With offensive weapons from Sidney Rice, Marshawn Lynch and Golden Tate to go along with the read-option at times, their offense should be their only concern this season, as they arguably have the best secondary in the entire league.
Outside of Steve Smith, Cam Newton doesn’t have many offensive targets for consistency unless Greg Olsen shows up to play. This one could get ugly, with the Seattle fans up early at 10am this morning to cheer their team on.
