Carolina at Miami
Time: 1:00 PM (ET)
Network: FOX
Fresh from their Monday Night Football victory and potential game of the year, the Carolina Panthers travel to South Beach for a meeting with the Miami Dolphins. Carolina’s won 5 consecutive games, while the Dolphins remain at .500 in a very tight AFC East division. The Panthers are playing some of the league’s best defense in the entire NFL along with Cam Newton finally coming of age as an elite starter after last year’s sophomore slump. In comparison to just focusing on throwing at Steve Smith, Cam’s found other receivers and tight-ends in the likes of Greg Olsen, Brandon LaFell, and Ted Ginn.
With Cam playing the pocket first then transitioning into the run if nothing is open in the field, the Panthers have become one of the scarier teams around the league. Luckily for the Dolphins if they do lose today, they play four of their last five games against AFC East division opponents.
