Philadelphia at Dallas

One week ago, many were viewing the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles NFC East title game today as potentially the biggest of the year. That all changed this week, when we learned that Tony Romo would undergo season ending back surgery Friday morning for a herniated disc in his lower spine. The Eagles began the season with Michael Vick having a 3-5 record, but have turned their season around led by replacement quarterback Nick Foles to improve to 9-7 (winning 6 of their last 7). The Cowboys are hoping to have that same outcome with veteran Kyle Orton filling in the void for Tony Romo today.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett’s job security may be on the line today if Dallas doesn’t win today, but his fate may have already been decided before Romo even suffered the injury. The Eagles with Chip Kelly have been having one of the more underrated seasons this year due to the elite teams performing well. LeSean McCoy and Nick Foles will lead the way tonight as the Cowboys defense will continue to struggle into the off-season, with the coordinator being a possible first change next year.
UPDATE: Philadelphia 24, Dallas 22
