Detroit Lions at New England Patriots

One of the biggest games this weekend is without a doubt the inter-conference match-up between the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions. After their impressive blowout win last Sunday prime-time against conference rival Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots head back home to Gillette Stadium at Foxborough, MA for an afternoon game against the Detroit Lions. The most exciting match-up in this game is Darrelle Revis guarding wide-out Golden Tate.
Unfortunately, he won’t be playing Detroit’s best receiver in Calvin Johnson, as the Patriots defense expects to use double coverage on Calvin Johnson. Defensively, New England has been playing surprisingly well and could be a threat to legitimately be in Arizona come February. With Green Bay on their heels to overtake them in positioning for the NFC North, the Lions may sadly fall to second place in the tight race for playoff positioning.
