New England Patriots at Green Bay Packers
Time: 4:25 PM (ET) on CBS
Favorite: Green Bay (open: 3 / current: 3 | over/under: 58.5)
Is this a preview of Super Bowl XLIX? The New England Patriots play in arguably their biggest game of the season this afternoon against the Green Bay Packers. At Lambeau Field, we’re going to have side with the Packers based on how they’re currently playing. We do have questions surrounding the Packers ability to stop the run game, but the Patriots have relied on the arm of Tom Brady to connect with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
Green Bay has one of the more balanced offenses in all of football highlighted by Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy – who’s doubled more in total yards than New England’s starting rushing duo. The Packers currently hold the lead in the NFC North and have the possibility of chasing the number one overall spot in the conference with a win here today. The Patriots will be looking to maintain their AFC overall lead with a major road challenge today, to give them space away from Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos.
