Without a doubt, the sexiest match-up this weekend is the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks. Both NFC teams are desperately fighting for playoff positioning, with aspirations of a wildcard weekend bye. Luckily for the Matt Sanchez and his Eagles, they’re home at Lincoln Financial Field for an afternoon match-up today.
The big storyline of this game is the Seattle defense (which has finally returned to prominence) facing off against the Eagles high-powered offense from Chip Kelly. Surprisingly, the Eagles are the favorites to win this game and will be Mark Sanchez’ biggest game in nearly 4 years. In his first game against former USC coach Pete Carroll, he’ll look to help from his weapons to avoid legion of boom’s coverage/pressure/tackling later today. Unlike the Seahawks, the Eagles are yet to lose at home this season and that trend could continue today.
