Must See NFL Sunday 2014: Week 5

49ers

Kansas City at San Francisco
Time: 4:25 PM (ET)
Network: CBS

Two weeks ago, the Kansas City was on the verge of starting their season 0-3. Following wins against the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, Kansas City is looking to improve to above .500 football with a tough road game today at Levi’s Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers. Following back-to-back losses in week 2 and 3, the 49ers returned last Sunday for a rally victory over Chip Kelly’s high-powered Philadelphia Eagles offense.

Colin Kaepernick will be battling Alex Smith for the first time after playing back-up to him during the 2012 season following an injury and maintained his status as the team’s starter. Kaep’s been playing extremely inconsistent in the last few weeks, with an even touchdown and interception ratio – something the Chiefs will be taking into consideration for added motivation in today’s game.

However, we’re still picking San Francisco to somehow walk away with a victory given their recent improvements on defense. Although this will be an emotional game for Alex Smith, he’ll need his team and more in particular Knile Davis and Jamaal Charles to provide an offensive punch.
