It’s no secret that this weekend has been plagued with the recent controversy of the Kansas City Chiefs as a linebacker engaged in a murder-homicide-suicide Saturday morning as our thoughts and prayers go out to Kasandra Perkins who was victim and her daughter who’s left behind with no parents.
It’s finally December as we’re in the last month of NFL action this season with only five weeks remaining. We saw a great NFL Thursday Night game with the Falcons avoiding the upset against Drew Brees and the Saints as they moved to 10-1 with the best record in the NFL. While the Texans look to match that record with a win today against the Titans, the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions will both be in must-win situations to stay in playoff contention in the most competitive division in all of football, the NFC North.
While the Jets look like they’ll win today in non-deserving fashion for the circus they’ve put their fans through all season, the 49ers are creating one of their own with the recent QB controversy involving newly announced starter Colin Kaepernick and now sideline viewer Alex Smith. Like the Jets, the Eagles also continue to fall out of playoff contention with management waiting until the off-season to fire their head coach.
