NBA goes sleeveless in next installment of holiday jerseys.
The holidays may be a mere 4 months away from now, but the NBA’s looking ahead to prepare fans for the upcoming 2014 season. The league’s 2014 XMAS jerseys have been unveiled, and yes, the sleeves have been removed! After numerous complaints from multiple players, including LeBron James himself, new commissioner Adam Silver has went back to standard jerseys – leaving behind the soccer-influenced ones we endured last year.
One noticeable change to jerseys are basic template style, which is heavily influenced by the NCAA. Logos will now be centered on player’s chests, with their number directly beneath.
Also, players will use their first names and not surnames on the back, that we hope remains on this day only. The league taste tested last year with players using their nicknames, which was met with great praise. Hit the jump to see your favorite team’s holiday 2014 jersey.
