We are merely weeks away from NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans and tonight the coaches selections for the team’s reserve players have been announced. This comes after last week’s revealing of the All-Star game starters as voted on by the fans. If you missed it, the starters for the East include Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Paul George & Carmelo Anthony. Out West the fans voted in Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love & Blake Griffin. Unfortunately, it has surfaced that Kobe will not be playing in this year’s festivities due to his recent knee injury.
On the East side for the reserves the coaches have selected Roy Hibbert, Joakim Noah, John Wall, Demar DeRozan, Paul Millsap, Chris Bosh & Joe Johnson. For the Western reserves we will see Tony Parker, Damian Lillard, Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, James Harden & LaMarcus Aldridge.
Notable absent players from the reserves include Lance Stephenson, Anthony Davis, Goran Dragic, Kyle Lowry & DeMarcus Cousins. Sources are saying Davis will probably be Kobe Bryant’s replacement on the West team, though.
