Can the Clippers finally make it to the NBA Finals?

The Doc Rivers era in the 2013-14 season was one many Clippers players and fans have been venting about since last May. Los Angeles was on the brink of being one win away at home of advancing to the Western Conference Finals to play the San Antonio Spurs. Chris Paul essentially blew his team’s chances of taking a commanding 3-2 lead, but an unfortunate turnover had CP3 crying during the post-game.

Even with the Donald Sterling saga still hovering over the team from a far, the Clippers came into their 2014-15 media day with smiles and looking for a new beginning for year two of the Doc Rivers era. Los Angeles upgraded their bench over the summer, with finally getting some paint presence in Spencer Hawes and Ekpe Udoh as well as adding veteran point guard Jordan Farmar when Chris Paul is in either foul trouble or in need of general rest.

The team dodged questions about imminent regular season success to go into great detail on how 2015 is essentially championship or bust. With the league’s best offensive facilitator and the 2nd best coach currently, the ceiling is very high for the new Kings of LA.
