Durant & Westbrook looking to get through San Antonio Road Block

Last season, the Oklahoma City Thunder came just 3 games shy of finishing with the league’s best overall record. After suffering with injuries the year prior, the team was finally healthy but lacked a true supporting cast of scorers to give Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook some relief. With the exception of adding veteran point guard Sebastian Telfair, team management made no significant changes to their roster and has lingering questions that will be hovering over the team. Thunder head coach Scotty Brooks cited Russell Westbrook as being currently the best point guard among all players in the league.

While that may seem like a stretch for the position, we would have to agree no other player is better on the offensive end at scoring than the Westbrook at the moment. Steven Adams and Reggie “Shmurda” Jackson showed signs of improvement over the season, but we’re hoping Scotty inserts them both into the starting line-ups – which saw success during the year. No one in the entire NBA, with the exception of Carmelo Anthony is thirsting more for a Larry O’Brien trophy more than OKC. With Kevin Duran’s free agency approaching for the summer of 2016, team management should look to acquire another big man and/or shooting guard.
