Knicks Blowout Celtics To Take 3-0 Commanding Lead

They say a playoff series doesn’t star until the road team wins a game. Well if that happens this series will start and be on the verge of ending as it would put the New York Knicks up 3-0 against the Boston Celtics. This is a certain must win for Gang Green to try and get back into this series. As we have seen from the past you can never count out the Celtics at home in the playoffs, but this year it seems they are just out matched against the high powered Knicks. Not usually do we think about the Knicks as a sound defensive team but in game 2 they were able to hold the C’s to an astonishingly low 26 points in the 2nd half. That just isn’t going to win playoff games.

We really don’t see the Celtics have that much of a chance in this one, but the key to them winning is to control the pace and not let the Knicks get out and run. If they are able to contain that and get strong games out of their role players like Jason Terry, then they might have a fighting chance. With the way the Knicks have been playing though this seems like an uphill battle especially if New York is on from the 3pt line. We can bet it’s sure to be a physical matchup that defines what playoff basketball is all about.

You can catch the game on ESPN at 8 EST.

*UPDATE* Knicks Win 87-71
