Chicago vs. Indiana
Time: 7:00 PM (ET)
Network: ESPN
The NBA season is still getting up to speed, but tonight we get to watch what may be the hottest team in the league, the Indiana Pacers. They are led by the fearless Paul George, who looks like a very early MVP candidate. The Pacers will battle the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose this evening. even though the Bulls have not gotten off to a fast start. It seems like Rose is still trying to find his groove after missing all of last season with the knee injury, but the first meeting of the year between the two Central Division foes and should shape up to be a great one.
Last year, with the Bulls diminished health wise, the Pacers were able to take control of the division and they look to do the same this season, even with D. Rose back. The Bulls will need to try and stop this at all costs and we expect nothing but a full blown physical contest when these two squads step on the court.
UPDATE: Pacers beat the Bulls 97-80.
The key in this game for the Bulls will be to get it going on the offensive side of the ball. So far this season, they have just not seemed to be able to get into the right pace and get the momentum going. If they can get the offense working cohesively, it will be much easier for Rose to get into a nice flow during the game and do what he does best.
For the Pacers this one is pretty simple: keep doing what works. Paul George is playing lights out and Hibbert is doing work down in the paint. If they can frustrate the Bulls with their swarming defense and use it to get easy buckets,it’ll be over early.
