Following a night on town with two women, whom he took home from the Meatpacking District club in Manhattan, Derrick Williams was robbed of $750,000 in jewelry early Saturday morning. According to the NY Post, the New York Knicks Forward is blaming the two women for going into a Louis Vuitton jewelry case, found in his Tribeca apartment and successfully pulling off a hefty heist.
Before their victory over the Chicago Bulls later that night, Williams addressed reporters on the case saying, “I don’t want to talk about it. It’s still up in the air.” The 24-year-old was out with friends, including the two women who used false names according to the police report, and they got their hands on the previously mentioned LV case worth three-quarters of a million dollars in his closet.
The NYPD is currently investigating whether the fast-fingered robbery is part of a pattern of sings committed by young women who prey upon wealthy men at local clubs and hotel bars.
