NFL Adds Synthetic Marijuana To List of Banned Substances

The term “No Fun League” has not been said any more than the past year or two. Fans and critics alike, have declared the NFL as going soft thanks to a rise in unsportsmanlike penalties, a crackdown on celebrations, taunting and everything that may make the game competitive.

As part of a new drug policy the league implemented today, players will be punished for testing positive for synthetic marijuana. Brands like Spice/K2 are now one of nine drugs that players will be tested for randomly throughout the season.

While we agree that these types of substances are more dangerous than just smoking top shelf weed, synthetic cannabinoids are not illegal. We actually rather see the designer drugs banned than the sticky icky, but that probably won’t happen any time soon.

Everyone is smoking anyway.
