NFL Divisional Playoffs 2014 (Sunday Preview)

n2
San Francisco at Carolina
Time: 1:05 PM (ET)
Network: FOX

Following last week’s coldest game the NFL’s potentially ever, with below 0 freezing temperatures in Green Bay; the San Francisco 49ers are once again on the road today, this time to face the Carolina Panthers. In their previous match-up during week 10, the 49ers and more in particular Colin Kaepernick was extremely limited without a single touchdown scored. The 49ers will have Michael Crabtree back in action, with Vernon Davis finally healthy.

Steve Smith is questionable heading into today’s game with a bruised knee, but we’re not expecting him to miss out on this big opportunity in an “open Super Bowl”. With Smith in top condition, we would obviously pick the 49ers, at home, but with Cam Newton’s passing game limited to just Greg Olsen, the 49ers will be keying in on DeAngelo Williams rushing and Cam’s play-option. The 49ers winning 2 very difficult road games will be more impressive than any playoff team at the moment.
