Brandon Browner, CB, New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints have lacked a certain brute force on the defensive side of the ball over the past couple of seasons, but now have that level of physicality with the signing of Brandon Browner. He’s a big, in-your-face cornerback who can match up with most anyone in the league.
Browner either towers over smaller receivers and tosses ‘em around like a rag doll, or stands tall against bigger receivers, not allowing them to power through the line of scrimmage.
Browner’s resumè is a strong one, and putting him into a system like Rob Ryan’s can only mean good things. He may even get moved around to safety or put in the box more depending on how creative Ryan wants to be, but regardless of where he lines up he’s sure to do some damage. Nola really helped themselves with this signing.
