Vikings at Giants
Time: 8:30 PM (ET)
Network: ESPN
Are you ready for some mediocre football? Well, that may just be the case for tonight’s Monday Night Football showdown between the Minnesota Vikings & New York Giants. Although both of these squads rest at the bottom of their respective divisions, there’s still enough storylines to catch our interest for the game. For the Minnesota, this could be the beginning of the Josh Freeman era, as he gets his first start for the team.
It came at quite the surprise when they announced him as the starter, but it is obvious they want to see what he can do moving forward. Tonight will also tell the world if Tampa Bay made a huge mistake forcing the young QB out to town. Now onto New York, they come into this one win less and are looking to get out their hole. To do that they must take it one game at a time and that will start tonight.
The real keys for the Giants will be cutting back on the turnovers and being able to protect Eli in the pocket. If they can consistently do that, then look for them to not only win tonight; and then string together a few W’s moving forward.
