NY Giants at Detroit

Two NFC teams that had success in 2012, but had lackluster affairs are both the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions. Even just winning the Super Bowl 3 seasons ago, Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is under much pressure this year to get his team back to the post-season. With an open NFC East up for grabs by the entire division due to inconsistency, nothing is impossible for their team. Tonight, they travel to the mid-west for the first Monday Night Football game of the year and play the well-ready Detroit Lions.
After having a few injury issues last year, the Detroit Lions have a few players looking for a contract year and others nearing the home-stretch in the prime of their careers to make a deep playoff run. Looking at the game, we expect the Lions core veterans to have their way tonight with an in-experienced and youth-plagued New York Giants team, that’s building for the future. We don’t, however, expect a complete blowout from Detroit, which Eli will have a few possessions to build upon this season moving forward with a new core group of players.
