It’s been a long time coming for Adrian Peterson, but it looks as if his suspension is finally complete. On Friday, the running back will be reinstated as an active player in the NFL and will be able to participate in all Minnesota Vikings related activities, after missing months for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Peterson pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless injury charges after news surfaced he disciplined his son with a switch.
Roger Goodell informed Peterson via a letter, telling him he would be reinstated, but he would have to still commit to counseling and any court ordered mandates in Texas.
The only question now is whether AP will return to the Vikings or not, because the last we knew is he was seeking a trade and would not commit to the organization after the debacle that took place surrounding this controversy. It seems like he is not yet over what happened and still has a sour taste in his mouth on how they handled everything. The Vikings have expressed no signs of getting rid of Peterson and have publicly said they want him back on the field, with the running back locked up for another 3 years before his contract runs out.
