Chicago at Green Bay
Time: 8:20 PM (ET) | Tonight
Network: NFL Network
Arguably the most important game of the week 2 for the 2012 NFL season tonight features the Chicago Bears as they travel to Lambeau field and face the Green Bay Packers. The Packers, who only lost one game last year, went undefeated at home; but this year they’ve already endured one loss from the San Fransisco 49ers last Sunday. 49ers QB Alex Smith 20 of 26 passes for 211 yards and threw two touchdowns with no picks. Tonight, the Packers hope to use their great secondary showcased last week against Alex FUCKING Smith of all people to stop Jay Cutler and an improved Bears offensive core.
Chicago is coming fresh off a blowout victory over Indianapolis where Cutler had 333 passing yards, 6 shy of Drew Brees who had the most all week. Green Bay is expected to be without their star wide-out Greg Jennings who’s support from a knee ailment but is still listed as a game-time decision. Charles Tillman is also questionable with shin injury as the Packers will have to rely on a their ground game which was damn near nonexistent last week against the 49ers. It’ll be very interesting tonight to see how Cedric Benson plays against his former team and how the secondary will contain the rush and quick passes.
Contrary to popular belief, this IS a must win game for the Cheesehead’s as we can expect an 8:20 kick-off tonight on NFL Network. The AFC North is extremely competitive this year as things don’t get easier for the Packers over the next two weeks when they play back-to-back road games against the Seattle and New Orleans. An 0-2 start for the Packs could be hard to overcome with lingering injuries still on the roster.
