The last few weeks of the Thursday night NFL games have been complete no contests, and this week’s game keeps that streak going. The Packers destroyed the Vikings by a score of 42-10 and made it look easy.

The game started out with the Packers going right down the field and putting up a touchdown in a hurry. Then things got out of hand, just like they have for the past few Thursdays.

The Packers were up 42-0 going into the fourth quarter, and then let the bench finish out the game. Aaron Rodgers only threw the ball 17 times but he completed 12 of them, for 156 yards and three touchdowns. Eddie Lacey finally came to life tonight, breaking over 50 yards rushing for the first time all season. Lacey finished the game with 105 yards on 13 carries for two touchdowns. The Packers defense also played a big part in Thursday nights victory, as they forced three turnovers and even returned an interception back for a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, the Vikings had a terrible game from all angles. They could get nothing going on offense all night, until the last quarter when it was much to late and in garbage time. Rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater (who had a great first start last week) did not play in Thursday night’s game due to injury, so the Vikings had to turn to Christian Ponder to lead the team. That did not go well. Ponder finished the game throwing 22/44 with 222 yards, no passing touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Vikings running game that was so great last week, also fell short. Running backs Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata combined for a whopping 96 yards tonight and no touchdowns, after getting 213 yards and three touchdowns last week.

This game was not what we had hoped for on the scoreboard, but if you had any fantasy players on the Packers offense, we’re sure you were okay with what they did tonight. Defense too.

This game has kicked off what is sure to be another great and wild week in the NFL, and we can’t wait for all the games come Sunday and Monday!
