Washington at Minnesota

NFL week 9 action begins tonight featuring a game with the 3-5 Washington Redskins and the 1-7 Minnesota Vikings. The Redskins started the season 0-3, but have won 3 of their last 5 games and will be looking to re-join the assness of the NFC East with a victory here tonight. While the Vikings are 1-7 right now, upcoming games against Baltimore, Seattle, Green Bay (still without Aaron Rodgers), Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Detroit could keep them at only 1 win for the entire season.
Washington’s run game has taken the pressure off Robert Griffin III with some help from Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed. With Minnesota’s lack of QB at the moment due to Josh Freeman having an “injury” or not knowing the team’s offense, the Redskins primary focus should only be on stopping Adrian Peterson from having his first great game of the season against a mediocre defense like Washington’s. Should be an interesting game right?
UPDATE: Minnesota Vikings rally in the 2nd half to upset the Washington Redskins in 34-27 victory. Christian Ponder left the game during the 3rd quarter with a left shoulder injury. Adrian Peterson moved to 5th all-time in most rushing yards in first 7 NFL seasons.
