At last, NFL Wildcard weekend is finally here and we have some big games to pilot the 2014 postseason. Most of us wanted the games to air early, but it looks like the pigskin action could be lingering into midnight. While we’re enthusiastic for the first day NFL playoff action, we’re saddened that the season is nearing its end. Today (or tonight), we have two major games we weren’t initially looking forward to, but the story-lines surrounding both the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs have the playoffs looking that more intriguing.
The underdog Philadelphia Eagles, highlighted by their sexy offensive from Chip Kelly and Nick Foles, will continue their recent play in the last eight weeks, going 7-1 to close out the season. Andrew Luck is in a similar situation, but he’s already defeated the top defenses in the NFL during the regular season, and is heading into his game this afternoon confident.
