“One man wants to keep the power to be the judge, jury and executioner”. (c) DeMaurice Smith
In a recent SportsCenter conversation, ESPN’s own Sal Paolantonio sat down brief with NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith to discuss a few of the recent transactions Roger Goodell is currently involved in. During the clip, he questioned the slow action Goodell has taken regarding the punishment Colt’s owner Jim Irsay still hasn’t received following his DWI arrest over 2 months ago. He went to cite Roger and company act immediately when players get into trouble unlike the special treatment he felt the Jimmy is currently receiving. Things then continued to discussing the NFL’s desire to expand playoffs in 2015 to 14 teams, but DeMaurice said the NFL hasn’t given the player’s association a proposal, which we’re hoping doesn’t lead to another lockout.
