Saban Officially Ends Texas Longhorn Rumors After Agreeing To Stay At Alabama.
After months of being rumored to join the Texas Longhorns for a potential head coaching gig due to the Mac Brown controversy currently surrounding Austin, Nick Saban has agreed to stay with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The new long-term deal gives Saban $7 million a year according to sources with a raise set for $1.5 million every year.
The Crimson Tide are two weeks removed from their first loss of the year, which hindered their chase at winning a third straight national title. They will be playing the Oklahoma Sooners at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA for the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 2nd. Saban’s won 3 of the last 4 National Title games, as we expect that trend to continue with a few more crystal trophies to arrive in Alabama before his tenure ends.
