TCU’s defense holds strong in the last seconds to get the W
No. 4 Oklahoma traveled to Fort Worth, TX to face the No. 25 TCU and even though the matchup didn’t seem too appealing on paper, it turned out to be one of the best games on a crazy College Football Saturday. Who saw this one coming?
The game was back and forth for the first three quarters, as the score was 31-31 entering the fourth. TCU came up big in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, when linebacker Paul Dawson intercepted Oklahoma QB Trevor Knight for a 41 yard touchdown. After the interception TCU took to the house, the extra point was blocked by Oklahoma and then they returned it for a touchdown.
The scoreboard after the back-to-back wild plays read, TCU-37, Oklahoma-33. Oklahoma had one last shot at the end zone to try and steal the game back, but Trevor Knight’s hail mary attempt sailed left and TCU got the win. Katy Perry might have been cheering for him, but Knight ended going home with the loss. Call Katy for consolation, though.
This was definitely one of the more exciting games of the day in what seemed to be Upset Saturday.
