Can Markelle Fultz get any love out here? It doesn’t seem like it.
In a leaguewide survey with NBA general managers across the landscape, absolutely none of them though Fultz would compete for the Rookie Of the Year award at the end of the season. Just to remind you, this is the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft we’re talking about here.
Instead, Lonzo Ball is the majority winner before the season starts.
Who will win the 2017-18 Rookie of the Year?
1. Lonzo Ball, L.A. Lakers – 62%
2. Ben Simmons, Philadelphia – 24%
3. Dennis Smith Jr., Dallas – 7%
Also receiving votes: De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento; Jayson Tatum, Boston
Other questions that were asked concerned best offseason move, breakout player of the year, who you would start a franchise with, MVP award predictions, best defensive player, top teams and more.
More motivation for the young wolf, who said he strives to be the Most Valuable Player of the league next season and every season following. What’s a rookie award to the MVP?
