Oregon Head Coach Mark Helfrich Discusses Upcoming Rose Bowl Matchup

The two Heisman Trophy winners battle off tomorrow afternoon!

In just two years of head coaching the University of Oregon, Mark Helfrich has led the Ducks to an impressive 15-3 record. Along with finishing as the no. two overall team behind the obvious Alabama Crimson Tide, Helfrich will be partaking in the first ever college football playoff tomorrow afternoon against the Florida State Seminoles.

During a conversation with ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi, the life-long Oregon fan opens up on his first ever major bowl in 24 hours. With stand-out quarterback Marcus Mariota winning the Heisman Trophy earlier this month, Mark remains optimistic about the school capturing their first ever nation title.

Filling the shoes of former head coach Chip Kelly (now with the Philadelphia Eagles) isn’t easy for any newcomer, but Helfrich has overachieved thus far in his second year.
