We have to give huge props to Reebok for being one of the first corporations to publicly involve themselves with the culture of hip-hop, for the release of Allen Iverson’s “The Answer” shoes back in the day. During our high school years in the early 2000s, the biggest shoe releases we waited for every year to wear (during our basketball games) were RBK AI’s. Along with Jadakiss, the Y2K-era ushered a new wave to relate hip-hop and basketball more in the public eye; which was seen virtually every night during the games.
